Gerardo Parada, M.D.
Cataract
Dr. Parada is a native of New Jersey. He graduated from New York University with a double major in Chemistry and Biology in 1988. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1992. His postgraduate training included an internship in Internal Medicine at UNC at Chapel Hill. It was here where he and his wife fell in love with the South. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Nassau County University Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital and the Veterans Administration at Northport in 1997.
Dr. Parada relocated his family to Atlanta and began practice on the south side of town in 1997. In 2004, a retiring Dr. Wilkes Davis asked Dr. Parada to relocate to Cobb County and join Georgia Eye Partners to take over his practice. Dr. Parada is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery.
Dr. Parada is married with three children. His hobbies include spending time with his family, golf and tournament poker.
