Cole McDougall, OD
Ocular Disease Resident Optometrist
Dr. Cole McDougall joined Georgia Eye Partners in 2023 as an Ocular Disease Resident Optometrist, beginning his post-doctoral training. Originally from South Dakota, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from South Dakota State University. Cole’s interest in optometry was sparked by his diverse experiences in optometry and ophthalmology clinics, including his role as an ophthalmic technician at Vance Thompson Vision in South Dakota.
Cole attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. During his time at Pacific University, Cole served as a Trustee for the American Optometric Student Association and was the Advocacy Lead for the AOSA. He also served on the Pacific University admissions committee and was involved in various organizations, allowing him to build a strong professional network and stay informed about the latest advancements in optometry.
Dr. McDougall completed his clinical training at various ocular disease sites, including ICON Eyecare in Denver, CO, Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, GA, and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, where he gained comprehensive experience in managing a wide range of ocular conditions.
In his free time, Cole is committed to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. He enjoys training at the gym, hiking, and spending days at the beach. An avid food enthusiast, he loves exploring new cuisines and discovering unique dining experiences. Dr. McDougall enjoys socializing with friends over a good brew and is always on the lookout for his next travel adventure, eager to explore new cultures and destinations.
