Dr. Parul Khator Appears on “The Weekly Check-Up” on WSB Radio

On Sunday, July 1, Parul Khator, MD appeared alongside host, Dr. Bruce Feinberg, on WSB radio’s popular medical show, “The Weekly Check-Up.” The show, which airs Sundays from 3-5 p.m. on 95.5 FM and AM 750 News/Talk WSB, covers a wide range of important healthcare topics and news every week. Dr. Khator discussed the latest in cataract surgery, glaucoma, and the exciting new world of MIGS, which affords glaucoma patients the opportunity to become more drop independent. She also spoke to the high-quality medical and surgical specialty eye care that Georgia Eye Partners is known for, and took questions from callers.
Dr. Parul Khator is a highly respected board certified, fellowship trained, ophthalmologist fully trained in all aspects of ophthalmic care. She further specializes in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Khator first moved to Atlanta to enter the highly respected ophthalmology residency training program at Emory University Hospital. She then completed her fellowship training in glaucoma at the prestigious Wills Eye Institute, one of the nation’s top glaucoma programs. It was at Wills Eye Hospital that she developed an interest in clinical glaucoma research. She has published several articles and is a co-author of two book chapters regarding glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Khator manages the full spectrum of glaucoma, from early to advanced disease, performing both laser and incisional therapy. She is also a well respected refractive cataract surgeon who performs laser assisted cataract surgery and spends time with her patients helping them navigate the complex landscape of cataract surgical options. She is passionate about making patients as spectacle and glaucoma drop independent as possible after cataract surgery.
Dr. Khator currently sees patients at our Midtown, Northside and Woodstock locations. She performs surgery at Eye Surgery Center of Georgia, our state of the art ambulatory surgery center, as well as Emory Midtown Hospital.
Dr. Khator is a trusted member of the community, receiving medical and surgical glaucoma referrals from fellow eye doctors. She remains committed to superior patient education and exceptional surgical care.
